Shahriar Smelting Factory is the first smelting and continuous casting production line in the northwest of the country. The factory was established in 2008 on a site covering an area of 9 hectares and was officially inaugurated and put into operation in July 2010.
The facility is equipped with five induction furnaces, each with a capacity of 20 tons, responsible for melting scrap steel and sponge iron. Its three-strand continuous casting unit produces steel billets with dimensions of 150 × 150 mm and a length of 6 meters. After inspection and quality approval, these billets are used as raw materials in rolling mill production lines.
The company’s actual annual production capacity is 150,000 tons.
This factory has been established on a site covering an area of 29 hectares and is equipped with three hot rolling lines for rebar production as well as one smelting and casting unit for steel billet production. The plant’s actual annual production capacity is 220,000 tons of deformed construction rebar and 300,000 tons of steel billets.
Production Lines No. 1 and No. 2 were commissioned in 2005 and are engaged in the production and supply of various types of deformed steel rebar to the market. The third rolling line, which became operational in 2011, is capable of continuous rolling of 12-meter billets. Due to this capability, its production speed is higher than the other lines, and it independently has an actual annual production capacity of 400,000 tons of rebar.
It is worth noting that Rolling Line No. 1 has been designated as part of research and development projects aimed at producing new products with high added value.
The smelting and casting line of this factory is the first steel plant in the northwest region of the country equipped with an electric arc furnace (EAF). This smelting and casting unit, which was commissioned in 2013, utilizes a 50-ton electric arc furnace along with a continuous casting line to produce steel billets with dimensions of 150 × 150 mm and a length of 12 meters. The produced billets are used internally in the complex’s rolling lines.
All products manufactured by this factory fully comply with the Iran National Standard No. INSO 3132, have been approved by the National Standards Organization, and the license for use of the Standard Mark has been obtained for all types of produced rebar.
This factory has been constructed on a 11-hectare site and is equipped with two hot rolling production lines utilizing modern technology. The plant was commissioned in 2010. The actual annual production capacity of these rolling lines is 475,000 tons of various types of deformed construction rebar.
The production lines are capable of manufacturing a wide range of deformed construction rebar; however, they are primarily dedicated to the production of small-diameter rebar. Thanks to the use of advanced technology and a double bundling and packaging system, the Sahand rolling lines offer advantages such as high production speed, efficient packaging, and enhanced product quality.
The products manufactured by this company, similar to those of the other production units, fully comply with the Iran National Standard No. INSO 3132, have been approved by the Standards Organization, and the license for use of the Standard Mark has been obtained for all products.
This factory consists of two hot rolling production lines and was established in 2008 on a site covering an area of 11 hectares. The first rolling line of the plant (Line No. 3) was commissioned for the production of various types of deformed construction rebar, alloy wire rods, and angle sections in different sizes, with an annual production capacity of 225,000 tons.
In addition, the second rolling line (Line No. 4) was installed and commissioned for the production of various types of I-beams and channels.
The products manufactured by this factory fully comply with the Iran National Standards, have been approved by the relevant standards authority, and the license for use of the Standard Mark has been obtained for all types of products produced.
Bonab Steel Industrial Complex has incorporated development projects into its operational agenda and is actively working on the completion of production lines and the expansion of manufacturing capacity. Detailed information on these projects and plans can be found on the relevant page.
